The University of Utah Selects CyProof's ErrNET(TM) for Online Document Proofreading.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- CyProof LLC, a leading developer of proofreading technology, today announced that the University of Utah has acquired a site license of CyProof's ErrNET[TM] for online document proofreading. Under the terms of the agreement, all University of Utah faculty, students, and staff will receive a special discount on ErrNET[TM] purchases.

"We are grateful to have the University of Utah as part of the ErrNET[TM] user community," said Thomas E. Perrin, President of CyProof LLC. "As one of the nation's top research universities, we are pleased to partner with them to provide a cost-effective solution to improve their writing and proofreading efficiency."

"ErrNET[TM] 'pinpoints' spelling, grammar and structure errors in seconds, and is an incredible timesaver in the draft stages of producing quality research manuscripts. The amount of time ErrNET[TM] saves in our initial proofreading process allows a larger amount of dedicated time to focus on the core subject matter of the manuscript, which is the primary objective and absolutely essential. ErrNET[TM] has become the first step we take in the initial proofreading stages of selected manuscripts," said Shawna Derry, Administrative Assistant, Center for Biophysical Modeling and Simulation, and the Department of Chemistry, University of Utah.

ErrNET[TM] is a software program that was originally developed for a large publisher to assess and improve the quality of writing and reduce editorial time and costs. It checks grammar, style, spelling, and punctuation and is far more comprehensive than other available proofreading software. The database contains multiple rules of grammar and punctuation, thousands of incorrect, verbose, and awkward phrases, and the world's largest spellchecker that includes over two million terms. The database is updated every week with new error checks and terms for the spellchecker.

ErrNET[TM] runs on CyProof's servers and is accessed through the user's Web browser. There is no software to install and maintain and it works with all popular Web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. To check a document, users upload their file through the ErrNET[TM] website, the cost is calculated, payment is requested, and in seconds the document is processed and the results are presented for download. ErrNET[TM] works with PDF files and costs only $0.50 per page (price breaks occur after the first 50 pages).
