Vic: Grounded air schools face huge losses
Victoria's air schools say they're facing a costly wait for help from aviation authorities,
as the contaminated fuel scare continues.
The Civil Aviation Safety Authority yesterday issued a directive grounding about 5,000
planes along the eastern seaboard.
It applied to all planes which had used tainted fuel from Mobil's Altona refinery in
Victoria between November 21 and December 23.
The Victorian Aviation Centre's chief flying pilot, PETER BALDWIN, says his fleet has
been immobile for six days.
