WA: SAS return to Perth after war on terror stint
PERTH, Dec 17 AAP - Australian special forces soldiers arrived home in Perth todayafter four months fighting the war against terror in Afghanistan.
Prime Minister John Howard will fly to Perth this week to officially welcome the SpecialAir Service personnel on Thursday at a function at Campbell Barracks in Swanbourne.
Defence Minister Robert Hill, Chief of Defence Force General Peter Cosgrove, Chief ofArmy Lieutenant General Peter Leahy and Commander Special Operations Brigadier DuncanLewis will also form part of the welcome committee.
